We’ve got 30 campers signed up so far with room for more. 🙂
Please see the packing list below for this weekend’s camping:
Bring:
- Canteen or water bottle (write name on bottles!)
- Mess Kit (plates, bowls, utensils, and coffee mugs)
- We will have a three station wash station set up to begin training everyone on this process.
- Wallet and a little extra spending money ($5-$10)
- Toiletries (soap, shampoo, toothpaste, etc., no glass bottles)
- Washcloth and towel
- Medications (as needed)
- Flashlight/Headlamp with new batteries and spare batteries
- Extra Underwear
- Extra Socks
- Extra Shoes
- Gloves or Mittens
- Hat (toboggan/balaclava/ski hat for warmth)
- Layering Examples:
- Layer 1: Base Layer Top and Pants (synthetic is warmer than cotton if you have it)
- Layer 2: Quick-dry long sleeve / Quick-dry pants or fleece
- Layer 3: Fleece top/sweat shirt
- Layer 4: Coat for 2nd outer layer. Added warmth at night and when we’re less active around camp.
- Layer 5: Rain Coat/Wind Shell tops and pants (just in case)
- Hot Hands and feet (optional)
- Sleeping bag: Rated 30 degrees or lower/If not rated for cold weather, you may want to pick up a sleeping bag liner for added warmth.
- Sleeping pad: Foam pads are warmer than air pads
- Pillow
- Backpack/Daypack
- Tent
- Tarp
- Camping Chairs
- Rank books
- Optional:
- Fishing gear
- Sunglasses
- Notebooks and pen/pencil
- Watch
- Pocket knives (for Bears and Webelos with Whittling Chip)
- Books
Do Not Bring:
- Firearms (or water guns)
- Alcohol
- Electronic devices (e.g., game devices, etc.)
