Register Now for the Kaleideum Camp-In.

When: March 13-14th
Where: Kaleideum North, 400 West Hanes Mill Rd, W-S
Cost: $20/Scout

We hope you’ll be able to join us for this unique event at Kaleideum. If you’re interested in some very easy “camping” then this is an event for you.

Friday Evening:
The camp-in will consist of a scout workshop, snack time, museum exhibit free time, and a chance to view a planetarium show and a science program. Snack consist of two pieces of pizza (cheese or pepperoni) with drink. Snack is not served until mid-evening so please make sure campers eat dinner before arriving.

Saturday Morning:
Coffee will be available in our snack area beginning at 7:00 am for those ADULTS needing to jump-start their morning. A continental breakfast will be provided for all participants. After breakfast, the Environmental Park (barnyard, deer, otter, and waterfowl) will be open at 9:00 am. The camp-in will end at 9:30 am.

Friday Evening:

  • 5:30-6:30 pm Check-In
  • 6:45 Orientation
  • 7:00-11:00 Activities/Snack Time/Planetarium (Our pack will be given specific times and locations at check-in)
  • 11:00-11:30 Sleep Prep. Lights out!

Saturday Morning:

  • 7:00 am Coffee.
  • 7:30-8:30 Continental breakfast.
  • 8:30 Gift Shop Opens.
  • 9:00 Environmental Park opens.
  • 9:30 Camp-in will end.

Health Forms:
A signed health form is necessary for all scouts. Please make sure the pack/troop number is completed on each form. Health forms should be turned in the night of the sleepover or in advance only if all forms are completed. If you could download, complete and email to me ahead of time that would save a lot of time at check in.

What to bring:
Each person will need at least a sleeping bag and pillow, and whatever else you feel is necessary to be comfortable. Some campers change into sleeping attire, while others wear something comfortable in which they can remain all night. Some people do get hot or cold, we suggest dressing in layers. Kaleideum. Although the museum will remain dimly lit throughout the night, flashlight will come in handy. We will be serving a snack during the evening.

Suggested items to bring:

  • Prescription medicines if needed
  • Flashlight
  • Hand towel/ Washcloth/Toiletries
  • Pillow/ Blanket/ Sleeping attire
  • Sleeping bag pad, cot, or air mattress and pump
  • Batteries for camera or pump
  • Earplugs for adults (thank me later)
