Dear Pack 910 Families,
We have really missed getting together with you all. As you may know, we’re not able to meet under the current guidelines laid out by the Episcopal Diocese, for understandable reasons. We do hope those restrictions will lift in the near future and we can resume Pack and Den meetings and outings.
Meanwhile, there are a few things that we CAN do.
Pinewood Derby
Ready for a race? We’re putting together a Live-Stream Pinewood Derby!
When: Saturday March 27
How: Pack leaders will deliver a car to your home! Shape, paint and prepare your car any way you like! We’ll arrange a “check-in” for you to drop your car off on Friday night. The Saturday race will be streamed by video in real-time so we can all have fun.
What else is new?: Alumni. Adults. We’ll have an “unlimited division” where anything goes, open to Pack alumni and adults. Only requirement is official BSA wheels and axles. Stay tuned for details.
Resident Camp
We do plan to attend Resident Camp at Raven Knob as a Pack. Dates this year are June 16th through June 19th. Raven Knob staff did an excellent job with the Fall campout that our Pack attended and we look forward to coming back.
Important – you’ll need to make a reservation with us by March 31. You’ll receive a separate email soon from Pack 910 with more details about Resident Camp.
Bridging
During the Fall campout at Raven Knob, the scouts stayed busy with advancement activity. Because those who attended were able to accomplish so much, we’ve decided we’re going to bridge up ALL SCOUTS to the next rank at the end of this scouting year, in March.
Recharter
Hard to believe it’s already here. We hope you’ll consider joining us again this coming year. The 2020-2021 Scouting year has not been what any of us had hoped for so let’s look forward to brighter days ahead. Dues will be the same, $125 per scout for next year. Can you kindly reply, whether you intend to recharter your scout(s)? We need to hear from you one way or the other by Feb 28.
Remember
Financial aid is available. We don’t want finances to be a barrier for participation with Pack 910. Just let Scoutmaster Lee Danhauer or Committee Chair Daniel Lobb know and we can make arrangements for aid.
In Scouting,
Daniel Lobb |
