Great news! Our much-anticipated Pinewood Derby Workshop will be this Sunday at the Mixxer Community Makerspace!
Brand New Format: Pinewood Derby Workshop!
Scoutmaster Dyer has secured a new, unique experience for the Pack this Sunday at the Mixxer at 4pm!
The Mixxer is an amazing makerspace – cool concept taking root in Winston. This is a big deal for our scouts and will give them a way to make a car like no other! Staff from the Mixxer will be on site to help us use the tools safely, and they’ve got some pretty incredible tools! The Pack is paying for use of the space and providing it at no cost to Pack families. When: Sunday 2/27 from 4:00 to 5:00 pm
Where: The Mixxer, 1375 North Martin Luther King Jr. Dr.
Winston-Salem, NC 27101
What to Bring: Your car! If you did not pick up a car at the Pack meeting, we will have cars for you to pick up.
Important: For everyone in the building, you must have a completed waiver. Please complete a child waiver for every child, and an adult waiver for every adult.
Please complete the waivers and send them to me in an email (cell phone pic is fine). It will be important to have this done ahead of time so we can get to work. You can also bring a paper copy to me if you’re not able to get a digital copy in advance.
We recommend you arrive about 5 minutes early so we can take full advantage of the hour we have scheduled!
How else to prepare? Design your car in advance so you come ready to get to work on it! See below for some great resources that will get the creative ideas flowing! Remember, this is to be done by your scouts, it is THEIR project. We are here to help, not take over. Don’t be “that dad” or mom!!
There is otherwise no Pack meeting this weekend, nor is there a Pack meeting next weekend (March 6).

Pinewood Derby is coming up!
The Pack 910 Derby will be held on Saturday March 12.
If you plan to attend the workshop on Sunday Feb 27 at 4:00 pm, be sure to complete waivers in advance and email to Daniel. In the meantime, there are some great resources for the Derby on Scoutlife.org.
Registration for the Carolina Beach Camping Trip is now closed. Please review to make sure that I have your family name on the list. If I have missed you, please email right away and we’ll get you on the list. Families confirmed for Caroilna Beach March 4 – 6 include:
Be sure to get Resident Camp at Raven Knob on your calendar now – your scout will create lasting memories and work on rank advancement too. If you can’t attend the whole time, you still have the option of attending some of the days.
