Blue and Gold Banquet – March 19

This event is the culmination of your scouts’ effort as they graduate from their rank and move to the next. Scouts should wear their full Class A uniform for this event and family is welcome to attend!

This year the event will feature a potluck meal. Bring a dish to share and sign up on the perfect potluck page.

The event begins at 4:00 pm and will run until approximately 6:00 pm. (We suggest brining a dish at 3:50 pm).

Pack 910 Transitions to Square

Our fearless treasurer has talked to vendors and made a selection with Square to process payments. We’ve been looking to improve our invoicing process for a while now and are satisfied with this choice. One difference you’ll note moving forward is greater transparency with our transaction fees. These will be highlighted on the invoice (a separate line item) from now on.

You’ll receive an invoice for the upcoming program year very soon (known as re-chartering). Please let Joe know if you have any questions on payments.

Spring Into Scouting, Camp Raven Knob 3/31 – 4/2

Enjoying the campfire at Raven KnobRegistration is open for the Spring-Into-Scouting at Camp Raven Knob. We need your registration by March 20. This weekend trip is a GREAT introduction to Camp Raven Knob for your family. If you plan to join the Pack on this fun trip, let us know! Register here for Spring-Into-Scouting.

Additional Camping Registration

Registration is open for two additional camping trips. Every year, we have a two-night campout at the New River Campground in Galax, VA (April 21-23 this year). It’s roughly 90 minutes from Winston and we sleep right alongside the New River Trail. In addition to a beautiful and peaceful campground, one of the highlights is the leisurely bike ride into Galax for lunch. The bike path is on the old railroad bed and is nice and flat – just long enough to be a challenge that your scouts will feel good about accomplishing!

Register for New River Camping April 21-23
This summer, Resident Camp will be held from June 14 through 17. Resident Camp at Raven Knob is a very memorable experience for scouts. Cub Scouts get a jump on their rank advancement and get to spend three nights at Camp Raven Knob. Plan to attend with your scouts, you won’t regret it.
Register for Resident Camp, June 14-17
As a final note, be aware that financial aid is available from Pack 910. If aid is needed, you can confidentially inquire with me. We want to make sure we provide opportunities for all to be involved in the great opportunities that scouting with Pack 910 creates.

Yours In Scouting,
Daniel Lobb
