Summer Fun with Pack 910!

Summertime is almost here! With family activities and vacations, scouting is sometimes left behind, so this year we’d like to encourage scouts to stay active.

Did you know – scouts can earn the Summertime Outdoor Activity Award? All you have to do is participate in one scout program for each of the summer months. Read the below to see what’s in store for Scouts this summer!

June

Resident Camp – Camp Raven Knob – June 14 – 17

Resident Camp is a formative and memorable time for Cub Scouts. We have one of the best camps in all of the southeast at Camp Raven Knob. Cubs have full run of the camp for Resident Camp where they are in the woods with their peers and parents for an amazing adventure. Cubs get a ton of advancement activities completed and start their year off with a bang! Don’t want to camp? Want to spend one or two days only? No problem! We’d love to have you even for a short time.

LAST CALL for summer camp registration. At this point the following families will be at Resident Camp:

  • Brendle-Gold, Danhauer, Dyer, Friedman, Lobb, Osswald

Name not on the list? Register today. Registration closes on May 26 – this Friday!

Winston-Salem Dash – Baseball, Hot Dogs, Fireworks, Campout on the field ! July 7-8

FANTASTIC opportunity! The Dash play a home game Friday night – and Friday night is firework night! We have reserved infield seats together and our tickets include a hot dog and a drink. After the game and the Friday night fireworks, scouts will get access to the field where we can pitch tents and watch a movie under the stars. It’s a fun evening and only $16 per person.

August

Stay tuned for our August event. We plan to have our annual bike rodeo sometime in August. Those who attended last summer know what a fund event that is, and it’s also a great opportunity to bring a friend to scouting.
