Welcome Pack 910 Families!

It was wonderful to welcome everyone back at our first meeting on Sunday, and we loved meeting many new faces as well. We have an exciting year of Scouting ahead of us!

If you have any registration questions following the meeting, please reach out to me. We distributed handbooks and Class B t-shirts on Sunday, but we will also have those available at the first few Pack meetings.

Our next Pack meeting will be Sunday, September 22nd at St. Paul’s Church from 3:30-5:00pm in the Colhoun Room. Homework for the next meeting is to review the Youth Protection pamphlet at home with your Cub Scout. This will satisfy a requirement toward your Scout’s rank.

Registration details can be found below for gem mining this weekend, our first campout of the year at Sugar Valley, and Fall Adventure Weekend at Raven Knob.

Join us in Hiddenite this Sunday!

Register for Hiddenite Gem Mining, 9/15.
Please share with friends and prospective new Cub Scouts about our trip to Emerald Hollow Mine in Hiddenite, NC. Located just an hour’s drive west from Winston-Salem, we will meet at Emerald Hollow Mine at 9:30am, with an option to meet earlier and caravan from St. Paul’s. The Pack covers the cost for our Cub Scouts to sluice and dig, and lunch is also provided afterwards. This is an awesome opportunity for new Cub Scouts to join our growing Scouting Family at Cub Pack 910. We do need registrations for planning purposes, so be sure you and yours (along with any friends you are inviting) are registered. Please register by this Friday, September 13th. View more details and register for the event here.

Campout at Sugar Valley

Register for Sugar Valley Campout, 10/4-10/5.
Registration is open for our first campout of the year! This is a fun, relaxed campout, just 30 minutes from Winston-Salem in Mocksville, NC. Plan to arrive between 5:00pm and 7:00pm on Friday night. Dinner and breakfast will be cooked and provided in camp. Saturday morning, weather permitting, we will have pilots volunteer their time and provide their own aircraft to offer all eligible Cub Scouts a flight as part of the EAA’s Young Eagle program. It is a very special experience for youth! View more details and register for the event here.

Fall Adventure Weekend at Raven Knob

Register for Fall Adventure Weekend, 10/25-10/27.
This is a favorite tradition with Pack 910! The Old Hickory Council operates Camp Raven Knob, which is a scouting paradise. Located an hour from Winston-Salem, Camp Raven Knob sits in the western part of Surry County in the foothills. Fall Adventure Weekend means that many of the activity stations at the 3,500+ acre camp will be open for Cub Scouts and their families to enjoy. We will have our meals at the dining hall and enjoy two nights of camping at a campsite. Many Scouts and their families look forward to this trip!

We will discuss the trip details at our next Pack meeting, but if you have questions prior to that, please let me know. Spots for this trip are available on a first come, first served basis. Registration will close when spots are filled. Register here!
