Dear Pack 910 Families,

The below is a reminder of upcoming events. Plan to attend the first Pack meeting of the year, held on Sunday Sept 12 at 4:00 pm. For the time being, our Pack and Den meetings will be held at Hanes Park. Let’s plan to meet and park in the lot across from the YMCA next to the tennis courts. Any questions, please feel free to call/text to Lee or me.

We are looking forward to the Fall, and to getting together again as a Pack. It’s been a while since we’ve last communicated with many of you, and things still appear uncertain. Scoutmaster Lee Danhauer and I have put together a calendar for the year and with any luck, we’ll be able to have some of our much-anticipated events.

We are not able to meet on the grounds of St. Paul’s Church until further notice, as per the COVID protocol right now. For the time being, we’ll have in-person Pack and Den meetings, outdoors, at Hanes Park (exact location at the Park TBD).

We would ordinarily host our popular “Bike Rodeo” at this time. While we’ve postponed that event now, we’re hopeful we can hold it in the fall.

Happily I submit to you the planned calendar of events for the 2021-2022 scouting year! I hope that you’ll plan to join us on the inaugural event for the Fall, Hiddenite Gem Mine. It’s always a popular event and there is no cost to attend. Consider inviting another family who would be interested in becoming a member of the Pack. The outing to Hiddenite is a great introduction to Pack 910.

In addition, we are now accepting registrations for the popular weekend camping trip at Raven Knob, October 15-17. It’s a great time for your scout to be introduced to the incredible facilities at Camp Raven Knob in a low-key, easy weekend. Roughly an hour from downtown Winston, the camp is a gem in the state of NC and the entire scouting network, and we plan to take advantage. I hope you’ll consider joining us and we look forward to seeing you soon.

Please don’t hesitate to contact me or Lee with any questions, anytime.

In Scouting,
Daniel Lobb
