Scout Night @ Truist Field: July 7

Just added to the summer calendar with Pack 910 is Scout Night with the Winston-Salem Dash! It will be an evening game at Truist Field. Your ticket includes a hot dog and a drink, fireworks and a movie, and camping in the outfield! It’s a fun event and we had a great turnout last year. We hope you’ll consider joining.

Expect a separate message next week with details about this trip, though a few things to note:

  • Campsite: We camp on the bank of Chestnut Creek in Galax, VA. It’s roughly 90 minutes from W-S. The campsite has primitive toilets and no showers. We will cook meals in camp (breakfast and dinner) and have lunch in Galax on Saturday at a local restaurant.
  • Tents: You will need a personal tent for this trip.
  • When: Campers can plan to arrive Friday evening before dark if you can. Interested in caravanning? Let me know.
  • Mess Kits: Please bring a camping mess kit. We will have a three-station wash area. Scouts can wash their own mess kits after meals with adult supervision.
  • Bikes: If you have a bike bring it. If you need, we can load your bike in a trailer. If you do not have a bike and would like to borrow one, let me know. The ride is short (about 4 miles one-way) and relatively flat.

In Scouting,
Daniel Lobb
